A New Bed
September 18th, 2009
A continuation in the study of treating steel plate to highlight its organic quality. This time the intent is to create a look like wood grain. The result is handsome. There is a 3 inch strap around the arch giving it a sense of mass. I also went without a box spring. You can see that there are two sides rails and a series of cross supports which allow for use of only a mattress. The size shown here is a full/double. estimate cost: $600

A simple design but one that has a lot of possibilities. A steel base of thin rod. A top of steel and concrete with varieties of colors and finishes. And to come is the application of some interesting screen print patterns. Should make for easy to buy, place and use tables with a wide array of functions. Shown here as 10 - 12″ tops. 15 -26″ heights. Suggested price: $50. Custom sizes and colors available.
