What I did on the first morning of summer by Chris Cardy.

Open up the showroom and let in the masses. (that’s a bit of a joke)

Fuel up for the day. We put in $10,000 worth of electrical upgrades into this building but I doubt if anything would really go if it wasnt for that $20 coffee pot and microwave.

Quick photo to document a new lamp design. Its going to a display at a local bank in the afternoon.

New garden pieces. Delia made the bases. Local concrete champion Quinn put in the concrete. Waiting for coloring and sealer. Spiffy.

Unload last night’s batch of Dingles from the kiln.

The Dingles. Probably have to reglaze and fire again. Tiny abacus pieces need more sparkle.

Jeff, shop commander, is laying out the top for a custom bathroom vanity. Going to look dynamite. Customer is tiling top and adding gorgeous glass sink.

The model for a table base I swear I’m going to finish this week. Maybe Monday.
Where the h*ll are the shipping guys?! Time to go find some workers.
Til Next time.

As local fans of Delia know, we have a showroom. It does all kinds of things like hold the prototypes, work as a design space and as with this Saturday, hosts a fun sale for Delia and hand painted furniture by Lucia Johnson. Since we took the trouble of sweeping up I thought it was a good time to take some pictures.

This table top is made from valuable shipping crate pine.

A table top made of individual hand cut glass tiles. very time intensive.
