Can anybody find me….

Imagine this table with wood tapered legs. Legs that were common to 1950’s furniture. Simple hard wood. I make plate top. Attach legs. Quick. Cheap and nice looking. But I can’t find a resource for the legs. Anybody got a suggestion?
And if we can sell these by the pound we will be Zillionairs. Plate steel top treated with rusting agents. Looks good.

How an Idea becomes a table…and another table

Look a few entries earlier and you will see side tables with tendrils. Then a fellow comes into the shop and asks for a coffee table with this design but for use with a wood top that will be tiled. This is what we made. We really like it. But I think for us the top would not be made with the flat stock but with a round rod like the side tables and glass would rest on the top. Maybe a piece of oval glass. hmmm. stay tuned.

and here it is…

This is the same idea as with the tendril style desk. The legs detach and therefore the whole thing can ship anywhere in the US for about $45 or less. Its also relatively easy to make therefore resulting in a piece that looks worth a lot more than our cost. That’s the trick isnt it?
