Kids Craft Kanji Character Coffee Table

Having fun with the Portland Japanese School and some 7 year olds. Each kid drew out a character of the horoscope and we helped arrange to form a coffee table. With a piece of glass on the top it will go for auction.

Jumbo Coffee Table

I like doing these big steel top tables because the steel plate acts like a canvas that gives all kinds of beautiful colors and textures.

These are hang tags we made for our outdoor concrete furniture. We can screen print on metal. Does that give you sign ideas??????

Pumpkin Fun
October 16th, 2008

I’ve been playing with making garden stakes and objects decorated with corresponding clay ornaments; tomato cages, bean and carrot stakes, etc. These will wait until Spring and the planting season. But I did get my pumpkins done. Available as solo pumpkins or pumpkin on a stick. $5 each.

Steel and Wood Furniture
October 3rd, 2008

Doesn’t everyone like the look of steel and wood together? One table has cherry wood legs with a piece of steel plate for the top. Corners rounded a bit for shin preservation. The other has walnut legs and the top is a thick piece of steel plate that for more than ten years has served as a work table in the shop. Every little bit of the top is marked and scarred with love. Time cannot be faked.
